Y., Januarv 21, 1907. “A. F. & S. C. Stewart. “Gentlemen: It is with pleasure I write you about the hook and ladder truck you built for us. It reached here all right, and we are more than pleased with it. It is a fine piece of apparatus in every respect. We gave the 40-ft. ladder a good test four days after its arrival, there being a fire in a three-story block, and we ran the ladder up in a minute, and I was on the roof—something we have not been able to do before.
