BOOK NOTICE. Proceedings of the Twenty-sixth Annual Convention of the American Water Works Association; held at Boston. Mass., July, 1900. Published by the Secretary. This volume of the Proceedings at the Boston convention of the American Water Works association, held in July, 1906, is exceptionally well got up and reflects the greatest credit both on Secretary Diven and the printers. Its intrinsic value is very high, and a study of its varied contents cannot fail to benefit every waterworks man of whatever rank in the profession. Its illustrations are many, so are its charts, etc., and each one is a work of art. The papers read (and the whole field of waterworks has been almost, if not entirely covered) are stron on filtration and water pollution, the latter as causing typhoid epidemics.
