Under the above head the News, of Saginaw, Mich., thus depicts the woeful plight of that city, on account of poor fire protection: “The question of giving the city of Saginaw adequate fire protection, after months and even years of discussion, is still unanswered. What are we going to do about it? has been asked from month to month, until the query has begun to fall on dull ears. But the fact remains that nothing has been done, and that during all this time of indifference conditions have been steadily growing worse. Perhaps, at no period of the city’s history has its property been exposed to so great danger from fire as at the present moment.
