NEW WATERWORKS SYSTEM AT EXCELSIOR SPRINGS. The new waterworks system at .Excelsior’ Springs, Mo., which has cost $100,000 has just been completed. The source of supply is a chain of wells at the junction of the Missouri and Fishing river basins, about six miles south of Excelsior Springs. The water has as its place of origin the Missouri river gravel bed. From the wells already sunk a daily supply of 1,000 ,000 gals, is assured. The pumping station and plant are sufficient for the wants of a city of 20,000 inhabitants. Up to the present the town has had an abundant supply of medicinal water, not of that which was required for ordinary use. Preston, Out., has completed its new waterworks system.
