CONNECTICUT CHIEFS MEET. The occasion of the convention of the Connecticut State Firemen’s association at New Haven was utilised by the Connecticut chiefs as the best time and place in which to hold their annual meeting. There was a full attendance, and the chief business transacted was the informal discussion of fire-service matters, the election of officers—and luncheon. Former Chief Hendrick presided. hive new members were elected—namely, Chief Owen Horan, Meriden; Chief George 1′.. May, Ansonia; John F. Barnett, jr., Sttffi dd; John Y. Douglas and Theodore Michaels, Wallingford. The officers elected to serve during the ensuing year were as follows; President, Former Chief A. C.
