FIRE-LOSS AT CHICAGO FOR 1907. With the returns of July complete, the firelosses for the seven months of 1907 are shown to be $3,694,388, or $836,000 greater than for the same time of 1906. April this year shows the heaviest loss, exceeding January, which is generally regarded as the most dangerous month. July’s loss of $184,000 is less than half of what last year’s corresponding month shows, and the returns for the three months. May, June and July, show a decided falling off as compared with the same months of 1906.
