Norfolk, Neb., has added two new hose carts to its fire department. A new hose and chemical wagon has been secured at Charlotte, N. C. Improvements have been made in the firealarm system of Utica, N. Y. S. S. Christiansen nas been appointed chief cf the De Witt, la., department. J. L. Johnson has been re-elected chief of the department at Raymond, Minn. Walter Purdy has been elected chiefof the department at Moundsville, W. Va. At Woodland, Cal., F. A. Suavely has been re-elected chief of the department. W. J. Kingsley has been appointed chief of the fire department at Everett, Wash. Franklin, Ohio, has raised the salary of its fire chief from $45 to $75 a year.…
