MEETING OF NEW YORK STATE FIRE CHIEFS Special corresondence of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING. The fifth annual meeting of the New York State association of Fire Chiefs, which was held at Gloversville on June 3rd and 4th, was successful in many ways. Although the attendance was only one-half of that which was present at Binghamton, the sessions were more interesting and the hospitality shown by the city officials and Chief Maxon fully compensated for this falling off in the number of delegates present. Perhaps as Gloversville is not exactly on the direct line of railway communication may be attributed, in some measure, this reduction of numbers. Those, however, that did not avail themselves of the opportunity will regret having missed the most instructive and pleasant meeting so far held by the association.
