Alexander Potter, consulting engineer, 143 Liberty street, Manhattan, New York, sailed on the St. Louis on June 20 for Great Britain and the Continent, to investigate the sewage-disposal methods of Europe; especially in relation to the disposal of the sludge. He expects, also, to study the operation methods of water-softening plants.
