New York State Fire News. More than 1,200 uniformed firemen, members of the Northern Central New York Volunteer Firemen’s association attended its 13th annual convention at Fairport. Albany has now a gasoline fire engine, built . t Schenectady. It will lift and deliver water in less than ten seconds from the time that the engineer starts the engine. The engine will also maintain pressure and delivery of water continuously, because there is no need to open furnace doors, which causes a drop in the steam pressure with consequent loss of efficiency.
