A Useful Fire Auto at Ardmore. W. G. Blair, chief of the Autocar Fire company, of Ardmore, Pa., writes to FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING that he has a very useful piece of apparatus in service. It is a first-aid motor car equiped with four extinguishers, an axe and a hook. It carries three men, besides the chief. In the illustration, Chief Blair and his driver are on the front seat, and the rear is occupied by Richard Grace and Otto Eichoff. The car is used to go to alt fires on the first alarm, and for a place the size of Ardmore it can he made to do a whole lot of good work. O. J. Atwood is now chief of the South Manchester, Conn., fire district.
