Improvements in Albany Water Supply. At Albany, N. Y., during the past year $400,000 of water supply bonds was issued and $145,850 retired—leaving the net water debt $1,438,791. The improvements to the waterworks system authorised in 1905 are practically completed and that the two new pumping engines at the Quackenbush pumping station are in operation. The improvements to the filtration plant are completed and the contract will soon be let for the lighting plant. A considerable amount of the large pipes have already been laid under the ordinance authorising the expenditure of $700,000 for improvements to the system.
