Western Canada Firemen’s Association. The report of the proceedings of the third convention of the Western Canada Firemen’s Association, which met last year at Regina, Sask., is exceedingly well got up from a typographical standpoint and contains several papers that are full of interesting and instructive matter—treating, as they do, on thorough practical matters connected with the subject of fire protection. The third annual convention, which was presided over by Chief J. E. Buchanan, of Winnipeg, Man., was well attended. Its membership shows that it has fifty-one members and seven associate members on its roll—a total of 58. Of these, 13 are chiefs; 3 are assistant chiefs; 9 are captains or subordinate officers; 4 are firemen in the ranks.
