WATERWORKS BIDS OPENED ROCHESTER,N. Y.—The United States Cast Iron Pipe and Foundry company has been awarded a contract for several thousand tons of cast iron pipe at $87,180 NEW YORK, N. Y.—Contracts have been awarded the Bradley Contracting company for Turkey Mountain tunnel at $975,694 King, Rice & Ganey got 2 1/2 miles of aqueduct between West Hurley and Wallkill at $610,407. The contract for which bids were opened was the Croton and Chadeayne, north of Kitchawan The lowest bidder was Charles W. Blakeslee & Sons. $1,269,830. The next lowest bidder was Booth & Flynn, $1,303,720. John J. Hopper was highest. This contract will be awarded after the usual investigation.
