New York State Chiefs’ Association. Secretary H. R. Yates, of Schenectady, writes that the sixth annual meeting of the New York State Association of Fre Chiefs will be held in the Common Council Chamber, City Hall, Utica, on June 16 and 17, with President R. A. Matson in the chair. The address of welcome will be delivered by Mayor Wheeler and replied to by Chief John H. Espey. State Senator F. M. Davenport will also deliver an address. The following topics will be discussed: “Fire alarm for schoolhouses, and why schoolhouses should be connected to the city fire alarm,” F. H. Messenger, of the Game well Fire Alarm Telegraph company, followed by Chief James J.
