Webb Motor Fire Apparatus. The illustration herewith shows the plant of the Webb Motor Fire Apparatus company, of Vincennes, Ind., builders of motor fire apparatus, fire engines, combination chemical and hose wagons, service and aerial trucks. The buildings as shown in the illustration herewith cover an area of approximately 60,000 sq. ft. They arc of modern construction, being built of brick and steel with saw tooth roofs giving ample space and splendid light. The main Erecting Room covers an area of 30,000 sq. ft. The Power Plant consists of a WMod’s gas machine for making gas from bituminous coal, which is used in a 4-cylinder gasoline engine of 120-horsepower direct connected to a D. C. generator.
