A Long Line of Hose. There is a 1,900-ft. railway tunnel about 20 miles from Knoxville, Tenn., and it caught fire the other day in about the middle part. A Knoxville fire engine, taking suction from a pond some distance off, pumped water on the blaze for two days and nights, through 3,200 feet of hose—said to be the longest line of hose ever used to fight a fire.
