Automobile and Horse Drawn Engines to Race. At Augusta, Ga., a new automobile fire engine recently arrived to be tested. A feature of the test will be a race between a pair of the best horses in the department drawing a steamer and the automobile engine. Both machines will leave the house at the same time, and the race will be to see which machine can get to the plug first and throw a stream of water the quickest and the greatest distance. The auto will he on one side of the street and the steamer on the other. Both will start under the same conditions, and one will fasten to the plug on the north and the other to the plug on the south side of Broad street. The stream of water will be toward the monument.
