BALTIMORE, M.D.—The contract for the $28,000 enginehouse, on Caroline street has been awarded to James F. Farley. 11 will be a 2-story brick and stone structure, with terra cotta trim, 28×90 feet. CHICAGO, Tll.—The American Rubber Company was the lowest bidder for 12,000 feet of rub her hose, making a flat rate of 65½ cents a foot. ROCHESTER, N. Y.—Bids for 7,500 feet of cable for the fire alarm telegraph system were: John A. Roebling’s Son Company, 14 cents per foot, and Standard Underground Cable Company, 13.3 cents per foot.
