Fire Marshal Service in London. The London publication, “Fire and Water.” gives considerable space in its October issue to reporting the International convention of fire chiefs held at Grand Rapids. Note is made of the fact that great interest was manifest in the subject of state fire marshals and the work of investigating the causes of fire. It is stated that the work of the fire marshals is quite akin to that now being performed by Dr. Waldo, in London, who is enthusiastically leading in the matter of instituting fire inquests. He is the coroner for London.
