Analysis of Nashville Water. After making analyses of six samples of water taken from various points in and about Nashville, the Lederle Laboratories of New York have reported that the city water of Nashville is in excellent condition. The samples were taken on October 18—one from Mill creek, one from the Cumberland at intake, one from Cumberland at Deer Gap, one from Stones river, one from tap in Vanderbilt Medical College and one from east basin of reservoir. The sample from Mill creek showed l,440 bacteria per cubic centimetre and coli present in all tests of one-tenth cubic eenti metre. The sample from Cumberland at intake showed 2,980 bacteria per cubic centimetre and coli present in all tests.
