Incendiarism in South Carolina. Owing to the prevalence of incendiarism in South Carolina and the obstacles the insurance department has encountered in the investigation of cases of arson, Insurance Commissioner McMaster has addressed the following letter to the insurance solicitors of the state: “Feeling that the solicitors are most competent to advise me, in that they are fully conversant with conditions and are in close touch with the people, I am taking the liberty of asking you to make such suggestions of modifications in the law as to arson as will secure better results than now seem obtainable.
