Pumping Engine Notes. Mason City, Ia., may erect a supplementary pumping station, at a cost of about $75,000. Barry, Ill., has a new and efficient gasoline pumping engine, with the aid of which it is expected that fire protection as well as household supply will be furnished to all parts of the city. The Springfield, Mo., Water Company is making a brick addition, 35×50 feet, to its Fulbright Springs pumping station. New pumps will probably be installed. Winona. Minn., wants more water and is discussing the installation of an auxiliary pumping engine. A 75-horse-power pump, electrically operated and capable of pumping 750 gallons a minute, has been installed at Bethel,_ Vt. It draws its supply, which is practically inexhaustible, from the main branch of the White River. It furnishes water for fire as well as domestic service, under good pressure. Jackson, La., has installed its new pump, of 6.01X1,000 gallons…
