Disastrous Fire at Reno, Nev. Reno, Nev., sustained a heavy fire loss in the total destruction of the handsome new St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, the Wheelmen Theatre and damage to the Twentieth Century Club building. The entire fire department, under the able direction of Chief Webster responded, and it was thought the church could be saved, but despite the great volume of water played on both the inside and outside of the structure, flames burst from the attic through the roof and the fire apparatus was inadequate to cope with them. The entire loss is estimated at $108,500.
