The Water Supply of San Francisco. By a vote of 32,876 to 1,607, at the special election held on January 15, San Francisco decided in favor of the first of the two water supply propositions submitted to the popular vote The full text of the proposition adopted is as follows: “To incur a bonded debt of the city and county of San Francisco to the amount of $45,000,000 for the purpose of the acquisition, construction and completion of a water supply and works, to he owned and controlled by the said city and county, to furnish to said city and county and to inhabitants thereof a sufficient supply of good, pure water for all purposes, the sources of such supply to be Lake Eleanor; the: waters of the Tuolumne river and its tributaries in Tuolumne county, Cal.: provided, that if proposition No. 2 on this ballot shall receive the necessary…
