Some Late Waterworks Items. The Somerset Mater Company, of Peapack, has been incorporated with a capital stock of $100,000 for the purpose of supplying water to the citizens of Peapack. Gladstone, Farr Hills and Bedminster. The company owns ten acres near Chester, and will locate its reservoir there. The company has been organized with officers as follows: President, Theodore S. Hill; vice-president. Samuel C. Bloodgood ; secretary, David B. Melick; treasurer, George R. Layton. The State Board of Water Supply met last week to hear objections to the amended plans of the local board, providing for a tunnel under the Borough of Manhattan, to connect with the new Catskiil aqueduct, but adjourned until February’ 10, to give the representatives of several taxpayers’ associations time to file their objections as the law provides.
