Notes on Filtration. The city council of Clinton, Okla., have awarded the Stone Construction Company, of that city, a contract to construct, at a cost of $7,600, a filtration plant for the city’s waterworks. Owing to delays in the receipt of material, the filtration plant, at Newark, Ohio, will not be completed until next June. Finding that the water that is coming to them from Conesus Lake is badly polluted, the water commissioners of Geneseo, N. Y., have under consideration the installation of a $10,000 filtration plant. Trenton, N. J., is already receiving propositions from the owners of all kinds of filtration processes. The president of the water board has announced that installation of a filtering system would entail an increase of at least ten per cent, in the water rates. Plans presented by John W.
