MERE MENTION OF THE WEEK’S DOINGS IN WATERWORKS Forney, Tex., has commenced work on its new waterworks. The board of aldermen, of Waterbury, Conn,, have authorized the issue of water bonds to the amount of $200,000. H. A. Campbell has the contract for the construction of the waterworks and sewage systems for Canyon City, Tex. By a vote of 180 against 49, the electors of Petoskey, Mich., decided against the proposition to bond the village for $45,000 for a municipal water system. By unanimous vote citizens of El Centro, Cal., endorced the proposed issue of $69,000 bonds for the purchase of a municipal water system. During the approaching season Rensselaer, N. Y., will make considerable additions to the distributing system; a quantity of cast-iron pipe being already on hand for this purpose. Tustin, Mich., wants waterworks, but a law of the state forbids a village to bond itself for waterworks…
