Annual Water Works Figures of Ware. With a population of 8,594, according to the census of 1905, Ware, Hampshire Co., Mass., obtains an adequate supply of good water from collecting wells and 24 pipe wells. During the year ending January 31, 1910, three pipe wells were added, all the wells cleaned out and the piping re-arranged, the resultant increase in the volume of water obtained being such as to warrant further improvements in the same direction. In 1908 the pumpage amounted to 63,667 gallons per hour; the improvements inferred to raised this amount to 66,047 gallons, an increase of 2,380 gallons per hour. The supply of water in the wells appears to be practically unlimited. The total pumpage for the year was figured at 158,447,880 gallons.
