Firemen’s Conventions. The convention of Hudson Valley, N. Y., Firemen’s Association, held at Kingston last week, was a great success. The invitation to hold the 1911 convention at Mount Vernon was accepted. The following officers were elected for one year: President. Frank B. Quigley, Kingston: first vice-president, Frank Buckley, Mount Vernon; second vice-president, T. Munderville, Stone Point; secretary. U. Grant Lucas, Poughkeepsie; treasurer, A. F. Keene, Yonkers; directors (five years), Irving Nestell, Kingston; (four years), W: Flandrou, Mount Vernon; (three years), Lewis E. Lansing, Poughkeepsie; (two years), Richard Hallenbeck, Hudson; (one year), Charles S. Sloat, Haverstraw. At the fifteenth annual convention of the Northern Central New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association, held at Newark last week, Lyons was chosen as the place for holding the 1911 meeting.
