Pumping Engine Notes. Brenham, Tex., has just received new pumps for its system of waterworks. Their cost is about $4,000. With this modern machinery the pumping capacity will be doubled. Brenham has one of the best systems of waterworks in the state. The water comes from deep wells, it is clear and sparkling and unlimited in quantity, and everything about the plant is up to date and well kept. The city owns and operates these waterworks, and they are a success financially and every other way. Two Harbors, Minn., is about to install new pumps in its waterworks. W. T. Hugo, a mechanical engineer of Duluth, who is preparing the plans for the new station, has made a report. This report discussed the efficiency, duty and economy of the various pumps, and figured the relative value of the pumps at the end of the first year of operation. The report…
