Motor Items. Venice, Cal., has purchased an automobile fire truck. The city of Waco, Tex., is about to buy an auto chemical engine and a combination auto patrol wagon and ambulance. Chief E. F. Dahill, of the New Bedford, Mass., fire department, recommends that all apparatus in the central fire station be of the motor type. Chief Harry L. Marston. of Brockton, Mass., recommends combination automobile type of hose wagon in place of No. 2 hose and No. It chemical. Several of the large number of auto tire apparatus bought for the Birmingham, Ala., tire department, have been delivered and placed in commission. Chief Bennett will have about a score of motor apparatus when they all arrive. The council of the city of Marion, 0., has adopted a bond ordinance for the building of a new lire station to cost $22,500, and for equipment of automobile tire apparatus of $15,000.…
