At the Tuesday forenoon session, Secretary Diven read the list of applications for membership, and he was instructed to cast the ballot of the convention for their admission. The address of President Alvord was then read, as printed in the last issue of this journal President Alvord: Next upon our program this morning is reports from some of our more important committees. Before we hear from the finance committee I want to congratulate the as sociation upon the fact that its executive committee and its publication committee were on hand 21 hours before the opening of this convention, and went carefully over all business to be brought up.
