Waterworks News Items Guthrie, Okla., is pleased with municipal ownership of its water plant. Rapid City, S. D. is going to spend $100,000 on its waterworks plant. Citizens of Churchville. N. Y., are agitating a waterworks system to cost about $25,000 Nacona, Tex., recently voted $17,500 for waterworks purposes, and work will be commenced soon. George E. Remmel, chief engineer of the Allentown, Pa., waterworks, has tendered his resignation, which was accepted. Voters of Omaha recently cast their ballots by a vote of over 10 to one in favor of the city bonding itself for $8,250,000, with which to buy the waterworks plant. Westfield, Ill., is to have a waterworks system, and the contract for a steel tank 115 feet high, with a capacity of 60,000 gallons, was given to a Chicago firm. Marquette, Mich., has authorized the issuance of $65,000 in 25-year 4 per cent. bonds, in accordance with…
