Chair Factory Fire at Louisburg, Pa. The description of the Louisburg, Pa., Chair Company recently involved a loss of $20,000. The building is located in the eastern part of the city and covers a space of 150 by 250 feet, is three-stories in height and was built about seven years ago. It is of wood and iron, with wooden partition walls. The building was equipped with sprinklers and fire escapes. It was about 8.30 in the evening when the watchman discovered the flames in the front part of the building, and five minutes later he turned in an alarm, which was responded to by two engines, one hook and ladder truck and five hose wagons. Upon the arrival at the fire, the department found the flames doing destructive work in the second and third stories. There were six 6-inch double hydrants available, located about 100 feet apart.
