New Waterworks for La Crosse. La Crosse, Wis., has completed plans authorizing a new water system, which it is believed will solve a problem which has vexed its citizens for some time past. The new plan, it is claimed by members of the water committee and the mayor, will save the city from $100,000 to $140,000, and was made possible by the decision of the State board of health to permit the wells to be located on the site already chosen near Myrick park. The plan as oulined by the special water committee, provides for the retaining of the present pumping station where dynomos and the power to drive them will be installed.
