CORRESPONDENCE Souvenir Issue Appreciated To the Editor: I take this opportunity to congratulate you on the souvenir edition of FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING. May 29, 1912. The water side of the journal is as interesting to me as the doings of the fire departments of the country. I was elected president of the Fire Chief’s Club of Connecticut at the spring meeting, held at New Haven, Conn., June 5, to succeed the late A. C. Hendrick, who died February 6, 1912. Chief Hendrick was the first president. The club was organized at Bridgeport. Conn.. August 1, 1902. The mayor of New Haven and the controller of the State were present as guests. None but chiefs and ex-chiefs are members. After the meeting of the club Chief handler of New Haven gave a test of his new Webb motor pumping engine, which showed up fine to the forty or more chiefs…
