Fire Tub 104 Years Old The summer residents at Lake Baboosic in Amherst, Mass., enjoy the unique distinction of having stationed at their colony the famous hand fire machine “Yankee,” which has been in active service for 104 years in Amherst village, but which will be located from to-day at Lake Baboosic, 2 miles from the town, where a number of cottages have been erected The Lake Baboosic Association, of which Edward Burnham, of Nashua, is president, will sec that a volunteer fire company is organized, and with the famous old “Yankee” on the spot, the fear of a conflagration in the colony will be eliminated. The “Yankee,” despite the fact that it has seen continued service for 104 years, is in excellent condition. It is a Hunneman, built in Roxbury, Mass., and delivered to Amherst January 29, 1808.
