Boyd Combination Car at New Brighton, Pa. New Brighton, Pa., has received its motordriven combination chemical and hose wagon from James Boyd & Brother, Inc., of Philadelphia. It is an up-to-date piece of apparatus and one of the best built by this well known concern. It has a complete equipment with two 35gallon chemical tanks, body capacity to carry 1,000 feet of fire hose, and seating accommodations for ten to twelve men. It is built on one of Boyd’s Model “C” Chassis and has a 48.4 horsepower (A. L. A. M.) rating engine, with 86-horsepower brake test, The truck has been officially tested and on grades of from 14 per cent, to 18 per cent., with complete load including seventeen men, made eighteen to twenty-five miles per hour.
