Manual for Hospital Fire Drills With a view of providing every means of saving the lives of patients in hospitals, the public health committee of the Rochester, N. Y., Chamber of Commerce is making an investigation of fire drills in hospitals throughout the country. It has been pointed out that even though the hospital buildings may be fireproof or stow burning, the nervous condition of patients is such that they should have every assurance that they will be taken care of in any emergency. Furthermore, the training that the nurses will receive will be very valuable should they ever be on duty in a home in which a fire occurred.
