Fire Service Changes at Cleveland Now that Cleveland, O., has organized two flying squads to have charge of automobile chemical fire-fighting outfits, Safety Director Sage is new stations, and will assign men in all outlying fire stations to regular fire prevention inspection duty, and the concentration of the present squad of fire warders in the closely built up sections. These plans will involve the purchase of two planning such an improvement in the city’s fire service as shall ward off the expense of building auto, thoroughly equipped chemical wagons at a cost of $4,000 apiece. These will form the flying squads which are supposed to be able to reach any section of the city in the shortest possible time.
