Muskogee Strongly Favors Two Platoon System The fire department of Muskogee, Okla., has come out strongly in favor of the double platoon fire system, which has been proposed in Oklahoma City and is opposed by Chief Mark Kesler, of the Oklahoma City fire department. In regard to the system, which probably will be presented to the legislature for adoption, the Muskogee department has issued the following statement: “First, we will say we are not asking for the double shift to be inaugurated because we are over-worked, but because we are over-confined. We are only doing what all other laboring men have been doing since the beginning of time—trying to better our working and living conditions.
