Mountain Water for Sacramento Sacramento, Cal. has been offered a supply of Pine Mountain water from a source in El Dorado County. At present the city consumes 15,000,000 gallons of water daily, but the offer referred to, if accepted, means 30,000,000 gallons or more, as needed, indefinitely. Those who make the offer are J. G. Patton, of Placerville, El Dorado County; O. Scribner, of San Francisco, and Senator Bills, of Sacramento. These men will either sell all rights to the city, or install the water works system complete and deliver the water to the city boundary under a pressure of 110 pounds to the square inch. This would admit of Sacramento dispensing with nearly all of its fine equipment except hose and give better protection than at present enjoyed.
