Morristown Fire Department to Be Entirely Motorized Morristown is to have the distinction of having the only fire department in the State of New Jersey using motor-driven apparatus entirely. Of course, there are single company departments with one piece of auto apparatus, but each of Morristown’s six fire companies is to have fire apparatus of the motor-driven type. The town already has an auto chemical engine, which had been used by Independent Hose Company for several years. Cast year an automobile hook and ladder truck was purchased for Resolute Company, ami it has done good service. The apparatus now to be bought and for which contracts have been let are a pumping engine, a hose wagon and tractor combined, a hose wagon and a police patrol and ambulance. Humane Engine Company is to have the pumping engine. It will replace the present steamer and hose wagon, both drawn by horses.…
