Ottawa Firebug Gets Forty Years Edward Nichol, who was arrested last week in Ottawa, Canada, on the charge of arson, pleaded guilty to four or five charges laid by the detective department and Chief Graham. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Kingston penitentiary on each charge, the sentences to run concurrently. The magistrate, in imposing sentence, described Nichol as being a menace to society and a dangerous man to be at large. The prisoner was formerly a motorman on the street railway. Nichol is 10 years old.
