Incendiaries Burn a Summer Resort A night fire was set by incendiaries in West End Heights, a large and popular summer resort at St. Louis, Mo. The loss was not much under $150,000 on which was an insurance of only $20,000. The night watchman a short time before the blaze was discovered saw two men running from the pavilion, He gave chase, but they escaped. and when he returned he found that a fire had been started just at the point at which he saw the men. An alarm had been turned in by two railroad men who were working on the tracks and had seen the flames rising near the box office of the scenic railway. Before the department reached the spot the fire had made great headway, as the woodwork of the railway was very dry and burned very rapidly. It was a work of over three hours…
