Ohio’s Fire Losses During 1912 State Fire Marshal Zuber has published completed figures for the losses from fire sustained by Ohio during 1912. The total amount is $8,060,412—over $2,000,000 above the figures of 1911. Of this total nearly half the amount was in the five largest cities of the State, as follows: Cleveland. $1,206,000; Columbus, $961,000; Cincinnati, $870,000; Toledo, $338,000; Dayton, $139000. During last March the fire losses will be found to have exceeded $1,000,000, of which amount $700,000 is traceable to the disastrous floods that occurred in that month.
