The Brackenridge Well at San Antonio

The Brackenridge Well at San Antonio San Antonio, Tex., which has contracted for a high pressure service, will utilize the Brackenridge well for that purpose. This artesian well was drilled two years ago at the head of Salado creek. Its volume of water is enormous. Soon after it started flowing it had a capacity of 14,000,000 gallons a day. As the average consumption of San Antonio is about 10,000,000 gallons daily, and as it is only on very few occasions during the year that it roaches 18,000,000 or 20,000,000 gallons, this one well will be more than sufficient to supply the high pressure system, the consumption from which will not average more than 5,000,000 or 6,000,000 gallons.
