Fire Destroys Grand Stands at Exhibition Grounds in Regina, Sask. A fire which started front a gasoline stove completely destroyed two grand stands, the main building and other structures on the exhibition grounds in Regina, Sask., Canada, a few days ago. causing a total loss of upon which there was an insurance of $48,000. A concern had secured the privilege of conducting a cafe under one corner of the grand stand during the horse races, which were to come off on the day after the fire occurred. Some one was rigging up a “thoroughly safe and foolproof gasoline stove” with the usual result, that a fire broke out. The race course is a mile and a halt from the nearest fire station and two miles from the pumping station.
