FIRE PREVENTION METHODS Ihe North Carolina Fire Prevention Society will inspect Greenville November 12. Fear of a conflagration in Boston and suburban sections was expressed by an architect of Boston on Fire Prevention Day. The Georgia Fire Prevention Society during November and December will reinspect the 12 towns it has inspected since it was organized two years ago. The after-dinner proceedings at the monthly dinner of the Westerly, R. I., board of trade, November 5, consisted ot a discussion of the subject of fire prevention. Fire Prevention Day at Madison, N. J., was observed by the firemen with a “smoker” at their headquarters. They were bound to have some smoke, if no fire, on that day. The Georgia Fire Prevention Society last week inspected fire conditions at Athens, Ga. Of 215 risks, 65 were iound to be defective. The fire department, it was reported, is in good condition.
